Question:
20th Birthday Dinner in Atlanta?
?

I will be turning 20 years old. About 5-10 friends will be joining me and I would like to go to a nice restaurant. I do not eat seafood and I want to try something different so I would like to avoid the Cumberland/Atlantic Station area. Not too pricey either. I know I am limiting my possibilities but I just wanted someone else's opinion. Any help !?!?!?!?!?

Different? Then by all means try one of the restaurants on Buford Highway. There are some excellent Asian places, most pretty inexpensive.

-- Gu's Bistro has a prix fixe dim sum special every so often. You might look them up. Reservations are needed.

-- The last Chinese place we tried was Bobo Garden -- which was really good. There were several large groups there, so they'd easily accommodate a group of ten.

-- Penang is fun for Malaysian. With their lazy susan tables, they too can accommodate you and your friends. (Besides Buford Hwy., they're off Barrett Pkwy in Kennesaw.)

Hibachi is fun. Benihana is possibly the premier place in town -- but there are others that are as good and probably less money.

I'm not a huge fan of Two Urban Licks -- but it's a pretty place in a converted warehouse, and it does have a big following.

My last suggestion is Petite Auberge: French, German -- it's been in business for a really long time, and the food is delicious and fairly priced. (It's low-key, with an old-world wait staff.)

(You might want to look up restaurants on Yelp, for unbiased patron reviews.)

try the Capital Grille in Buckhead. Plan forward and ask for a brilliant view. that's no longer agreat view even though that's ok. do no longer inform them that's a seventeenth birthday or you'll be in the back of the kitchen. Have the calamari and function Dad %. up the invoice! that's going to be one to endure in mind, a bit extra excessive priced than Dante's.
