I like a cigarette after i eat also but my husband an i quit for 6 months and started back unfortunately but the whole 6 months the smell was so awful when someone passed us in the store, etc. that smoked! We don't realize how bad we smell after smoking but we really stink. Hoping to quit again soon, i felt so good after i did quit if i didn't have anxiety i would be so much easier!!

Not everybody enjoys the smell of nicotine in their food. I use to work in a restuarant and I actually had a customer complained for me to move a table of smokers farther back, but as you said, its a free country, they were in the smoking section so they didnt have to move. But as a non-smoker and as some one with Asthma, the smoke does irratate my throat real bad to the point i feel like i cant breathe, and thats something you don't like to experience when you're trying to eat.

Yeah it is a free country but with rules. And one of them is no smoking in Restaurants any more, along with all the others...no guns or firearms. Thats illegal. Walking down the street naked...its illegal. So you know what I mean. I know I enjoy a good ciggie after a meal, but I got to go outside in the freezing cold.

Because 1 have you ever tried quiting smoking for about a year and going around someone who smokes and smell how bad they smell. No offense but I lived around smokers all of my life and I never ever smoked and my husband smoked for about a year of our relationship and he quit now he can't even stand to be around it and either can I not. It gives us major migraines makes it hard to breath. People shouldn't have to breath in something that is going to kill them just because someone else don't mind it effects their body. People take their children to resturants I wouldn't want my innocent child to have to be exposed to something like that when they don't smoke. People with Athsma it can kill some of them if they are around that including children. Now I don't think it should be banned in the all bars. I think that should be the discretion of the bar owner on that. If someone is going to drink and kill theirselves with alchohol then what's smoking going to do? But resturants that isn't right. WE don't smoke we ask for non smoking section at restaurants and they always put us in the bar area and call it non smoking and the smoker is not even 2 arms lengh away and I have short arms...

I get so tired of hearing all the non-smokers complaining about how smokers are affecting their health! How many non smokers drink and drive! They should be more concerned about that. I have yet to hear how someone smoking and driving has killed anybody while they were driving! We will continue to light up outside, but non-smokers need to shut up about their rights! Put their bullying into more worthwhile causes,like stopping child abuse maybe!

it's a restaurant-EAT!, smoke somewhere else, if the restaurant wanted you to smoke they'd give you a cigarette and a match instead of chips and salsa, personally it doesn't bother me much but my son has asthma and when someone in the restaurant is smoking he starts coughing and wheezing and has to have a breathing treatment by the time we get home, show some respect smokey.
